Health and Safety

The PaperlinX Safety vision is "No Injuries".  PaperlinX is committed to the provision of safe and healthy working conditions for its employees and contractors, and to the safe custody of visitors to its operations and premises.

Safety is an integral part of our business and the Board's Safety and Environment Committee meet regularly to provide guidance to the Group's standards and practices.

To achieve and sustainably maintain the safest practicable workplace at all our locations around the world requires a balanced approach to Occupational Health & Safety.  At PaperlinX we focus equally on the physical work environment, our systems and the culture of the business.

We actively pursue our goal of an injury free working environment and support any endeavour to prevent injury and harm at work.  To ensure our employees are aware of the importance of safety the company provides ongoing education and training to:

  • ensure an awareness of workplace risks and hazards;
  • facilitate discussion to identify new or emerging risks and hazards; and
  • initiate regular group discussions for continuous improvement in safety within the workplace.

Safety is a shared responsibility between the Company and its employees. Every employee has a level of individual accountability for their own safety by adhering to the Group's safety systems and procedures, wearing appropriate clothing at all times, being aware and reporting workplace hazards and risks.  Download a copy of our Safety Commitment here.

A sound return to work programme is an important part of the Company's health and safety philosophy to ensure injured employees quickly recover and return to their pre-injury duties, in their previous position or a less intensive role.  The Company seeks wherever possible to provide the best possible programme to cater for each individuals' circumstances.  Download the Return to Work policy here.

To ensure that we reach our goals, our sites are regularly reviewed and audited by our team of qualified auditors and/or external bodies.
