Our European network of merchants across 17 countries provides a range of communication materials and diversified products to thousands of customers in the commercial print, office, packaging and display markets.

Our focus is ‘local businesses serving local customers’.  With over 500 years of collective experience (some of our companies have been operating since the 1800’s), our sales teams have an in-depth knowledge and expertise in the industry that is second to none.

The UK operations are our largest in this region, and include well-known companies such as the Robert Horne Group and Howard Smith Paper Group.  In The Netherlands, our companies BührmannUbbens and Proost en Brandt are industry leaders. Approximately 70% of the PaperlinX Group’s employees are based in this region.

Paper

Over the years, we have developed our own pan-European brands, combining our services with products we have carefully selected for specific customer demands. Many of our paper brands are market leaders in their segments including Hello, Core and Revive, a leading brand with environmental credentials.  We supply a large range of commercial print, office products and envelopes.

Sign and Display

Many of our businesses supply a range of sign, screen and digital products for graphical or non-graphical applications eg. printers & consumables such as cardboard, plastics, metal, vinyl and textiles for production of signage, point of sale displays, vehicle graphics, banners, posters and lighting.
   

Packaging 

Industrial packaging including packaging equipment, transit or ‘end of line’ packaging, cardboard cartons, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, strapping, tapes

All our businesses in Europe have achieved chain-of-custody certification and can provide a growing choice of certified papers to customers. Collectively, our companies in the region are a major reseller of chain-of-custody certified and recycled papers. We operate a Supply Chain Policy with a long-term goal that all our products will be sourced from suppliers that can demonstrate economic, environmental and social sustainability.

Our merchants operate in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and South Africa.
